North Hants Bikes terms and commitments.
Payment for hire is to be made by Credit Card by phone before the hire period.
Hire periods are for one working day 9.00am-6.00pm (not 24 hrs).
North Hants Bikes reserves the right to retain Credit Card details, until completion of the agreement, as a deposit:
- North Hants Bikes reserve the right to charge the customer for full cost of any damage caused to the equipment during the period of hire. The bikes will be checked at the end of each hire and again fully on return to our hire center. Un-repairable parts will be replaced at recommended retail price plus labour cost.
- North Hants Bikes reserve the right to charge the customer for partial or full cost of equipment in the event of theft or loss. However should the equipment be subsequently returned in a satisfactory condition the owner hereby undertakes to refund the customer's indemnity within 14 days
North Hants Bikes reserve the right to refuse hire to individuals and groups at their own discretion.
North Hants Bikes reserve the right to terminate a hire period without notice or refund.
The Hirer’s terms and conditions
The equipment including all accessories supplied is let out on hire and remains the property of North Hants Bikes. The hirer will not sell, hire out or otherwise part with any equipment relating to hire agreement.
The hirer is responsible for all equipment relating to the hire agreement.
The hirer will not use the equipment whilst under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The hirer shall immediately indemnify the owner with respect of all costs, claims, expenses and demands which North Hants Bikes may suffer or incur and which arise directly or indirectly out of the use of the equipment during the period of hire.
The hirer will ensure the cycles are locked to a permanent fixture whenever left unattended. The method of securing should include the front wheel and frame.
The hirer recognises that cycling can be dangerous and acknowledge the risks involved.
The hirer acknowledges the recommendation of North Hants Bikes to use the helmets provided.
The hirer believes that all using the bikes, are in good health and that their eyesight is up to the standard required for a road driving test. They are not suffering from any medical conditions or disability which is likely to adversely affect their normal control of the bicycle.
The hirer understands that they will be responsible for the payment of any surcharge levied as a result of the cycles being returned later than the agreed time. If the bikes are not present when they are due to be collected, a further day’s hire charge will be charged.
The hirer understands that they will be responsible for the payment of any damage (including third party) caused as a consequence of my dangerous cycling, loss of control or negligence.
The hirer will immediately notify North Hants Bikes in the event of any breakdown, damage or loss of the equipment
The hirer fully indemnifies North Hants Bikes against claims of injury to them self or any third party.
The hirer will ensure that any child using the child seat weighs no more than 22kg.
